The state of Israel would not have been possible in British Mandated Palestine, therefore terrorist groups Irgun, and Lehin bombed several Immigration and Tax Offices and assassinated Baron Walter Guinness Moyne in 1944, bombed the King David Hotel in Jerusalem and the Embassy in Rome in 1946, bombed the Hotel Sacher in Vienna in 1947, abducted and murdered Sergeant Clifford Martin and Sergeant Mervyn Paice in 1947 and eventually succeeded to force Britain to terminate it's mandate in 1948.
